A Poem For Early Spring At McLinden Trail

She will hop back on, and be noticed, come April.
Had an up and down, running the deer over impossible ground.
Wasn't it always this way; inside skeletons outside obvious?
Or is it seen from far off, down the way, where details hide?
Details.. time, choices, just take breaths instead.
We're not reminded enough that some deer run,
and some deer are gone.
If she can't budge, allow forever to pass in moving on.
If she won't budge, cup it frigid in hands and baptize the first thing you see,
and in a beeline to her sun, burn away the snow with your hind leg torches.
